The Great Neck Estates Park, in its present form, was established in 1949 when residents approved a bond to construct a 33⅓-yard swimming pool. The park’s amenities now include a kiddie pool with nearby play areas, two outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, and four all-weather Har-Tru tennis courts operated by The Club at Great Neck Estates—enclosed in a bubble during the winter for year-round play. Additional facilities feature a launching ramp and dock for small motorized crafts and kayaks, baseball and soccer fields, a children’s playground, and basketball courts.
The Memorial Day Picnic organized by the GNE Civic Association and co-sponsored by the Village opens the summer season with rides and activities for the children, music and food. Other recreational activities at the park include water polo, yoga in the park, basketball tournaments, pickleball tournaments, Zumba and concerts in the park. Please see our Park Programs menu for more details. Our park season officially closes with another co-sponsored picnic on Labor Day by the Civic Association.
